This Workshop is designed to introduce specialists and health practitioners to the principles and application of Cultural Safety as outlined in the RACP Professional Practice Framework (PPF) and in alignment with the 2026 CPD Requirements laid out by MBA and MCNZ.

The Workshop will focus on key concepts in understanding cultural safety such as examining one’s own cultural identity,

biases, and power. Participants will be provided with opportunities for critical reflection and application to their own practice. There will also be a focus on enacting change in the workplace and at the health system level to dismantle oppressive and culturally unsafe practices and remove barriers to optimal health and wellbeing outcomes for First Nations patients, families, and communities.

Guidance will be provided on how to integrate cultural safety into CPD. Since 2025, RACP Fellows are required to complete a minimum of two CPD activities involving Cultural Safety, including addressing health inequities.

All participants including RACP members who attend can log 1 hour of educational activities and 0.5 hours of reviewing performance CPD.
